Cinquantenaire
Parc du Cinquantenaire is a historic park in Brussels with French gardens, museums and a striking triumphal arch overlooking the city.
The Jubilee Park was created in 1880 to mark the 50th anniversary of Belgian independence. The park consists of several French-style gardens and is mainly known as a historical site with monuments, sculptures and museums. The eye-catcher is the large triumphal arch with three arches and a bronze quadriga at the top, from where you can look out over the city. Wide avenues connect the park with, among others, Victor Horta's Pavilion of Human Drifts, the Royal Museum of the Army and Military History, the Royal Museums of Art and History and Autoworld.
Sports events, festivals, concerts and other activities take place throughout the year. In summer, Guinguette Maurice is also open.
