Ossegem Park

Located at the foot of the Atomium, Ossegem Park combines walking paths, open green spaces and an open-air theatre with nearby attractions.

At the foot of the Atomium is Ossegempark, designed by landscape architect Jules Buyssens in an English landscape style. The park consists of open lawns, forest edges and wide, winding paths that lend themselves well to walks. Many visitors start their route at the pond and follow the avenue of purple beeches from the Adolphe Max monument.

The park is also home to the Vegetable Theatre, a semi-circular open-air theatre with gravel terraces and low stone walls. Thanks to its acoustics, concerts and festivals regularly take place here, with space for about 3,000 spectators.

Several other green spaces surround Ossegem Park, including Laeken Park, Sobieski Park, Florist Gardens and Colonial Gardens. Also in the same area are the Atomium, Mini-Europa, the Planetarium and the Design Museum Brussels, as well as the Japanese Tower and the Chinese Pavilion.
