Leopold Park

Leopold Park is a green park in Brussels' European quarter, surrounded by institutions, museums and historic buildings.

Located in the European district, Leopold Park is a green space in the middle of the city. In the past, it housed a zoo and later a science park. Today, the park is laid out as an English garden, with sculptures such as the bust of Jean-Jules Linden and a tree of peace.

Several Belgian and European institutions are located in and around the park. The Solvay Library stands out, as do buildings such as the former Institute of Anatomy, the Institute of Physiology and the former Business School. Also nearby are the European Parliament, the Parlamentarium, the House of European History, the Museum of Natural Sciences and the Wiertz Museum.

A short distance away is also the Parc du Cinquantenaire, another famous green spot in Brussels.
